Why patients have a favorite.
Everyone's muscles respond a little differently, so many patients settle on the product that works best for them. Some find one kicks in sooner, softens more evenly across the forehead or lasts longer for them than the others.
Once you find that product, staying with it makes your results more predictable from visit to visit. If a product isn't giving you the result or the longevity you want, switching is a normal next step, and Marissa will plan the new dose from your treatment history.

Which one do ProMD Fort Lauderdale patients choose most?

Which one lasts the longest?
Daxxify. In its clinical trials, the median result lasted about six months, compared with the three to four months most people get from Botox or Dysport. How long yours lasts depends on your muscles, your dose and your metabolism, so a longer result is not guaranteed.
Why can't I compare prices unit for unit?
Each brand measures its units differently. The labeled dose for frown lines is 20 units of Botox, 50 units of Dysport and 40 units of Daxxify, so a lower price per unit does not mean a cheaper treatment. That is why we price all three in unit equivalents: the amount of Dysport or Daxxify that matches one unit of Botox.
How much does each cost at ProMD Health Fort Lauderdale?

Can I switch from one to another?
Yes. Tell Marissa which product you had, how many units, and how long the result lasted. She uses that history to recommend a product and dose for your next visit.
Is one safer than the others?
All three are prescription botulinum toxins with the same boxed warning about effects spreading beyond the injection site. Tell your provider about allergies, including any cow's milk protein allergy before Dysport. Seek immediate medical help for difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing.
