Building a plan

Most faces need more than one thing.

Aging shows up in layers: muscles crease the skin, the face loses volume, and sun exposure changes the surface. A treatment for one layer does little for the others, which is why a frown line can return after filler or a laser result can look flat without volume.

A common plan pairs Botox for expression lines with filler or Sculptra for volume, then microneedling or CO2 laser for texture and tone. Marissa sequences them so each treatment has time to settle, and tells you honestly when one is enough.

Questions

Good to know.

What is the best anti-aging treatment?

It depends on what is causing the change you see. Lines that form when you move respond to Botox or Dysport, lost volume to fillers or Sculptra, and texture or sun damage to microneedling or CO2 laser. Most people see the best result from a plan that treats more than one cause, which is what Marissa maps out at your consultation.

What age should I start anti-aging treatments?

There is no set age. Many patients start with Botox or a HydraFacial in their late 20s or 30s, when expression lines first linger, and add volume or resurfacing treatments later. Starting earlier usually means smaller, more gradual changes.

Should I get Botox or filler for wrinkles?

Botox and Dysport treat lines caused by muscle movement, such as frown lines and crow's feet. Filler treats lines caused by lost volume, such as smile lines and marionette lines. If a line is visible when your face is completely still, it often needs filler or resurfacing as well.

How much do anti-aging treatments cost in Fort Lauderdale?

At ProMD Health Fort Lauderdale, Botox is $169 for the first 20 units, HydraFacial starts at $169, microneedling is $400 per session, Sculptra is $700 per vial and CO2 resurfacing starts at $899 per session. Filler pricing is on our dermal fillers page. Your exact plan and total are confirmed at your visit before anything is done.

Which anti-aging treatments have no downtime?

HydraFacial has none, and most people return to normal activity right after Botox, Dysport, filler or Sculptra, with possible swelling or bruising for a few days. Microneedling leaves a day or two of redness, and CO2 laser needs 3 to 10 days, depending on the depth.
